Building data, one brick at a time!

For the 15th edition of Trieste Next, the LADE FAIR Data Management group is offering a hands-on workshop that uses LEGO bricks to explore the world of data.

Through building activities and small challenges, participants will collect, classify and organise information, then use it to answer questions. They will discover that well-organised data are easier to understand, share and analyse and that the way data are organised can influence the results we obtain.

Led by researchers from the FAIR Data Management group, the workshop offers a playful introduction to data management and data science, and a chance to explore how the two work together in research.

A limited number of places will be reserved as a priority for Area Science Park colleagues and their families.

• 11:00–12:00 — children aged 6–13
• 16:00–17:00 — children aged 6–13
• 18:00–19:00 — adults and young people aged 14 and over
